


The House of Gucci, which is well known as Gucci, is an iconic and traditional Italian fashion and leather goods label. It was established by Guccio Gucci (1881 – 1953) in Florence in 1921. Gucci is deemed one of the most distinguished, prestigious, and easily recognizable fashion brands in the world. The House of Gucci is part of the Gucci Group which belongs to the French conglomerate company Pinault-Printemps-Redoute (PPR). Now, the president and CEO of Gucci is Patrio di Marco.
The House of Gucci was founded in 1921 by Guccio Gucci. Gucci expanded and a boutique was opened in Rome in 1938. Guccio was responsible for designing and creating lots of the company's products. In 1947, Gucci introduced the bamboo handle handbags, which are still a gorgeous company mainstay. Througout the 1950s, Gucci also developed the trademark striped webbing, which was derived from the saddle girth, and the suede moccasin with a metal horsebit.
